Context :
Think of the organization as a funnel.

Adding the concept of job families vastly improves the understanding of the organization as a whole for each user and collaborator, and helps swift through Business Units to make sure they will have the right job, at the right time, and making sure they are the right person for it

Description :
We can imagine the organization in 3 levels:

- Level 1: the business unit

It is represented by business families.

Within a single business unit, there may be several departments.

Example: Finance

- Level 2: departments

In this case, the sub-families.

As seen in Level 1, there are several departments attached to a Business Unit.

Each department has its own specific activities and missions.

Examples: Accounting, Mergers & Acquisitions

- Level 3: the business

This is the job in question, held by one person or a category of people.

Example: Financial analyst

Good to know
The category of job sub-families is always dependent on job families.

A job family may comprise several job sub-families.

Additional information :
Job sub-families are thus available directly in the job descriptions.

Editing a job sub-family
A job sub-family is always linked to a job family

Important
A job sub-family must be linked to a job family, to ensure coherence of the funnel model.
